Another Trip to Scottsdale

I saw my Oncologist yesterday. He checked my feet and decided they were healed enough to go back on the mystery drug at a lower dose. This time I received only one bottle of 25 pills which should last me until I see him after my CT Scan next month. He also checked over my newest blood test and all is good there too.

It still amazes me that the drive to Scottsdale and waiting at the Oncologist's office wear me out. I came home from there and had to fight to keep myself from falling asleep.

Tomorrow I'll get back to my exercise classes and hopefully sign up to play golf next week. The temperature is back above 100 after a week of 90 plus and some cooler mornings. It was just a teaser because the cooler temperatures usually make their debut in October.

I need to be home today because the gardener will arrive at noon and that's a good reason to clean some closets. I usually put it off until we have a rainy day but we don't have enough of those to get all the closets cleaned.

Maria-
It's been so long since I've talked with you, so I just had to say "hello". Joanne and I have been following your blog and we can't say enough about your courage, positive attitude and faith through all your trials.
Joanne and I have first hand experience with people facing challenges such as yours - through family members and hospitals where we volunteer. You are a rare person without doubt, and we are sure, based on our experience, a beacon to others who face similar challenges.
Joanne and I will be driving to Washington Island on Oct. 1,and staying until Oct.13 when we will close up the island retreat and drive Don to Green Bay to fly back to Phoenix. Don is without doubt a brother to me and one I love and respect. You two have been a blessing to me over many years and people I have respected and been able to confide in through many situations-thank you!
God Bless You - You are always in our daily prayers and maybe I can say hello personally on the phone while on the island when you call Don or he calls you.
Take care-God Bless!
-Jim
